Refund Policy

At MUMBO Kenya, we strive to ensure all investments and contributions are made with full awareness and transparency. This Refund Policy outlines the conditions under which refunds may be issued for payments made through our platform.

1. General Policy

All contributions, purchases, and related payments are considered final and non-refundable, except in instances of proven error, duplicate transactions, or misallocation of funds.

2. Eligible Refund Scenarios

  • Duplicate payment (same amount, same reference, made within minutes).
  • Technical failure causing multiple unintended charges.
  • Payment made to the wrong project or category due to system error (not user error).
  • Cancelled participation in a project before the investment closing date.

3. Ineligible Refund Scenarios

  • Change of mind after completing a contribution.
  • Failure to meet eligibility requirements after project commitment.
  • Delayed personal decisions beyond  deadlines.
  • Contributions made under incorrect assumptions not verified on our platform.

4. Requesting a Refund

To initiate a refund, send a written request to refunds@mumbo.co.ke within 7 days of the original transaction. Include:

  • Your full name and registered email
  • Transaction reference or M-Pesa code
  • Reason for requesting the refund

5. Processing Timeline

Validated refund requests will be processed within 7–10 business days. Refunds are issued via the original payment method unless otherwise agreed.

6. Dispute Resolution

In case of a refund dispute, the matter will be referred to our internal Finance & Legal team. Their decision will be final unless governed otherwise by Kenyan consumer protection law.
